$1,000 for a turbo. Think again! If you want one that is the reall deal and not problem child at best (blown motor at worst), think bigger. If you get serious about it start hanging out on a bussa and read, read, read.

*ahem* Any new literbike will rip your arms out, so unless you're planning on competing in ProStar events, skip the turbo and get a new 1000...and more gear.

I own a Turbo (stock from the factory) bike. I don't advise you doing it either. Unless you strengthen the internals, the motor is going to pop. Just sell your bike, take the money you would have spent and buy a used fuel injected liter bike.

Hellboy,
Don't get me wrong. My 750 Turbo will outrun a Busa through the quarter mile. But my point is that the internals were strengthened from the factory. Meaning that they (Kawasaki) redid the motor to accomadate the boost in power to keep parts from shearing apart with the increased stress put on the motor.
Believe me, I am very interested in the prospect of you turbo charging your bike. Especially if you can do it cheaply with a how to. Just be careful about how much power you pump through the motor to make it work.
