i need to eliminate tank vibration. i know what the rubber grommet looks like but where can i get it or what other way can i do it

That rubber gromet (a new one) is the only one that I know of and is probably the best one to go with.

Check Ron Ayres online or your local honda dealer. Those will be your best bet.

I cut small pieces of an old tire tube and superglues them out of sight underneath to the frame works magnificent

I stopped using those on purpose.
Go to any auto store & buy door edge guards.
Those door edge guards come in different colors also.
I choose white to go with my white tank.
They also have glue in them, or you can remove the glue if you like.
They weill definitely guard your tank edge.
If you still have slack, double them by glue a small section on top of the other.
My whole lower edge of my tank has that protective guard.

I also bring other sections of door edge guards to shops when I need my tires changed; can't have my white powder coated rims scratched now.
