Speedo cable help?¿?
Looking for help with my 1994 CBR 900rr speedo cable. Don't know where to connect the thing.
I've got a Clymer manual for the '93-'99 CBR 900rr and it doesn't have anything for the '93-'94 speedo cable anywhere in the book. All the other years have an electronic speed sensor, but the '93-'94 had a manual speed sensor that has to turn the speedo cable, which in turn works the speedometer. It has only 1 bolt holding it in place. The cable isn't long enough to reach past the front sprocket. Running it from the speedometer itself down through the inner front fairing like the book shows, it won't even reach that far. I've looked all over that damned thing and for the life of me I can't find a single place where it looks like it should mount.
Anyone out there with a '93-'94 CBR 900rr please help!!! Follow your speedo cable and tell me where the damn thing connects! I'm gonna end up riding without knowing how fast I'm going, and personally, I'd like to know. Thanks!
