Default someone and something new!

Ok, first off, Im new here and Im lookin forward to it! Now for my first ? Ok, Im lookin at doin something that Ive never seen before and im hopin you guys can help me? I just got a 98 CBR900RR that is stretched, lowered and fast as hell! Now, Im a big guy and it doesnt seem to like me sittin on it, cause I drag the exhaust on some of the smallest bumps, but I dont wanna raise it back up cause I LOVE the way it looks! So I was watchin Biker Build-off today and wondered, "Would it be possible to make it a hardtail it the old-school way, by just bolting a spacer in where the shock is?" I figured that way it wouldnt sag when I sit on it and Im not really worried about it bein a rough ride. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

sounds like the only thing left to be done is remove the exhaust.

yea you can throw a block in there to make it a hard tail

but plz dont get angry when a bump shoves it through your motor case, or bends your frame...

p.s. plz redeem yourself by saying you want to a stock swing arm length, and stock height...

Would it seriously bend the frame? Cause that was one of my worries, and nope one the stock lenghth and height. I want a full bodied CBR chopper. I even eventually want an extended chopper style front fork setup! And I aint jokin one bit!

cbr chopper isnt possible... but perhaps a streetfighter is what your more pertaining to..

and yes a sportbike is not mean to have a hardtail, the frames are made for being light weight and racing, not direct impact on the frame...

Try a soupys performance link. Its adjustable with just a couple of wrenches. Then you can keep it low in town and raise it up for longer distance cruising...
