Default rod bearing?

Here's the deal. I just bought a 93 900rr white and blue 30k miles for $1500. I only have put on 550 miles since I got it (month ago). I love it!! (also new to all this). Here is my question. I just got back from riding and while I was riding I was hearing a clicking noise from the engine kind of like a playing card in the spokes as I went faster I could not hear it anymore. Could it be a rod bearing? And is that something I can do myself. I am mechanicaly incline

Hard to say without hearing it, but worst case (if you haven't already) you could take in to a shop and just have them check out the bike. Let you know if that sound is anything to worry about, and if there is anything else you might want to look at.

prolly the CCT, or just the valves chattering. depends on how loud it is. but i know that the CCT will make some noise with certain rpm band,
