Rear suspension - renew or replace
Hello
just sounding out opinions. My 1999 Fireblade has a rear suspension problem. The original Showa unit is in place but is out of gas and I've been advised by my mechanic that it would be more cost effective to get a non adjustable YSS shock than refurbish the Showa unit. Will the lack of adjustability in the rear suspension hinder me in anyway?? And will it take anything away from the handling characteristics of the bike??
Ultimately cost is a deciding factor. I can get the Showa unit refurbed for about 300-350 quid but can get hold of the YSS unit for just under £200.
If it was your bike.....what would you do???
cheers
