RE: R cams worth it?
They are definatly worth it if you have all the other mods. I do not have a set but with a set of cams, high flow airfilters and some head work it will make a difference. the thing is to make everything flow good all at once that way you dont have tunning issues. Erion has a set for $500

RE: R cams worth it?
ok so heres a ? slim I just had a Number 2 rod bearing go bad in my 893cc and instead of fixing it I found a 919 which is what was in my 97 to begin with when I bought it. so I'm a little confused as to which motor actually came in the bike. next ?... whats the difference and can I have a local guy that I know is very good at head work, port it and put the head on my 919cc from my 893 motor? If so do you have a set of aftermarket cams that I can give him so he knows what kind of port work to do I don't think he needs them for the flow bench, does he. anyways I am always looking for more power out of my bike but I'm not a big fan of bolt on horsepower such as NOS and stuff like that, in that aspect maybe down the road a turbo but then I'll have the other head off the 919 motor......
