I'm doing the swap. I have a '97, and I need to get a speedo healer for it to show the correct speed. There is one crank trigger on the '97's, but 3 on the 98-99, like the f4i's.

 

lmao.. thanks for the supprot there bro!! from the research I've done, it seems cheaper to swap with the f4i, so that is probably what i will do, or possibly the 954.. why paint it black, when you can just remove the bulb?

 

I'm pretty sure the bulb is a fixed part of the circuit board and can't be removed. I'm not 100% on it so I'll check.

I"m using the F4i's. Will do. Remind me in a month or so to post of the pics. Really busy at home, in the last few weeks before our second daughter is born.
