Default outer clutch case

rrx- having a dumb moment - the blade has been down the road, the outer clutch case has cracked, not the main one with the oil in. can i still run the bike?
it looks to me that the metal disc is just protection for the main clutch case, is this correct. thanks

Kind of hard to tell without looking at a pic.
For one thing, if oil will come out of it later on when the engine will be at about 5,000 RPMs (when you are riding it), then for sure, you should change it.

I'm looking at my case cover and it looks like one piece....again, not sure what you mean since you make it sound like it is two different pieces.

A pic would help.
If it leaks oil when it is being ridden, then for sure, change it.
If no oil comes out of it ever under any condition, then....it is yet to be determined from my end.
