Default Need Help I need a stock rear Sprocket and Chain

Ok heres the deal... I bought a 1998 Honda CBR900rr as a project bike... Guy sent the sprocket that went with the rear sprocket and chain set off when he sent the motor off for a core... I didnt know the sprocketwas aftermarket nor the chain... I bought a new engine sprocket and it doesnt work with the chain... So I need to find a stock rear sprocket and chain... If any knows where to find one please let me know...

I couldn't find a place that solda stock sized rear sprocket for my '93 900rr so I had one custom made from I think it was sprocketspecialists

I think they have a website at sprocketspecialists.com

I just bought a new front and rear sprocket for mine. I got both from sprocketcenter.com, and then bought an EK 530 X-Ring chain off off ebay for $80, which is way more durable than the O-Ring chain that is honda stock. The sprockets were $75 for both, i think $45 for just the rear. The stock sprocket size is 43 tooth for US spec bikes, or 42 for European. For the whole set the dealership wanted $350, so you can def do a lot better if you just shop around on your own and mix and match. As long as you buy 530 size, and the right number of teeth they are pretty much interchangable so you can't really go wrong.

Didn't notice till after i posted that the year of yours is a 98, mine is 93 so may have a different number of teeth. Most sites that sell aftermarket sprockets have an application guide, just use it and you'll be ok.

I forgot to add that the reason I needed my rear sprocket custom made is because I have Marvic rims on the bike and the bolt pattern is different.

That was a real pain but it only took a few days for the sprocket to be made and shipped to me.

Didn't cost a whole lot either.
