My first thought was actually using 1000rr front fairing (see pic) but I was also thinking about using the RC51. I just photoshoped a pic together and I actually think I might like the rc51 the best. I seems to fit the bike a little better. Let me know what you think.

Jeff you have the tallent to stick an old dumpster lid on it and still make it look the nuts. What ever you go with it'll look great matey bloke.

The 929 front end I refired to was the tripples and up side down forks (USD) mate, they are the same head stock and are a direct swap. You'll also have the option of a 17" wheel on the front to match the car wheel conversion (if you do it) on the back.

CBRRRT I had my mind on fairing when you said front end. I was thinking of doing the inverted forks. It is good to know they are a direct bolt on. Thanks for the comments too. I appreciate it.

The more I look at the pics I think I have decided to use the rc51 front plastic. I just don't like the way the tank looks with the r6 fairing. So now I need to locate the sides, upper and headlight.

If I want to use aftermarket fairing I can get it for about $230. I might get a racing upper and do some kind of custom headlight in it to save some money. I will have to see what I can find.

When I looked for the R1 bodywork I brought from ebay, I went for stuff with minor damage, that was selling much cheeper than the mint condition parts. I figured I'm gonna paint it anyway, and my labour is free to me, so I'll save myself some money and do the minor repairs to the parts no one else wanted.

For example: Seat pod (New £135.00) (Good condition used £95.00)
(Minor damage £28.00) Big saving and I had it repaired in a couple of hours.
