RE: low beam problem
Hey there, welcome to the forum.
By going out do you mean that the light blows or does it switch off? Check your fuses, make sure that the metal part that holds them are snug cuz a loose connection will blow your lights. I learned that after a few headlights and 2 blown rectifiers. Check the wire harness of the light to make sure they fit snug as well.

RE: low beam problem
I was riding one night and my buddy notice that the low beam were out. I bought new light bulbs and put them in and they turned on, so i took it for a short ride and notice they were out again. I took the bulbs out and noticed the top filament for the low beam were broken and like before, only the hi beam turns on. I checked the voltage to both low and hi beams and they read about 12v. I dont know if I have a short in the low beam or the hi beam. I checked the wires and nothing seems to be cut or loose. Any further help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated....Thanks.

RE: low beam problem
The lights do get brighter as I rev the engine and the volts jump to about 15v at 4-5k rpm. Can it be the r/r or a short in the ground or a realy switch? I also checked the hi beam to the ground and it is connected somehow, but only on the left side hi beam. I am leaning towards a grounding issue? What are your thoughts? Thanks for the input.

RE: low beam problem
All the fuses are good and everything seems to be tight, no loose connections. I even opened up the left and right switches and nothing seems bad.I am wondering since my hi beam indicator light is out, could it somehow caused the low beam to go out???? may have to replace that indicator bulb and see what happens. Thanks for he input.

RE: low beam problem
I went through that problem with my 1996 CBR. For me it was the High-Low switch. The low beams would good out for no reason, so I would flip the switch to high so I had my heads lights on. And when I would get a chance I would flip between High and Low and sooner or later the lows came back on.
