Last night I was cruising the local strip with a friend. The bike had been idling for a while or only going to a slow first gear roll. Anyways my question is if it would idle for a few when I would give it throttle again it would make this wierd knocking or rattling noise for a second. It would not do it threw the RPM range at all, or if I throttled it multiple times it would only do it the first twist. It almost sounded like it was coming from the carbs. I drove it home last night with no problems, and drove it to work this morningwith no problems. Any ideas? The bike had not done it before that I can recall.

Ok sorry bro I think in this case it's way above what I know about unless you may be somehow suffering from piston slap. In which case it may be time for a rebuild *winces*. Best advice I have is let one of these more experienced guys take a crak at yer problem.
