Not going to fire up until you get the choke fully functioning - clean and lubricate - imo

and you'll probably need to pull a clean your plugs again if they are partially fouled
make sure battery is charged 100% and 100% fresh gas all the way through it

Bike's been sitting for three years!

In addition to below:

1. Replace the plugs (or at least ground to see if it ignites).
2. Replace all liquids, oil, brake fluids, coolant...
3. Replace gas filter, oil filter & air filter (or clean ) but gas filter is must after sitting for 3 years, if it's clog, ain't starting.

Sprock and estate pretty much covered the basics. Just gonna add, get a cable-luber
and first..hose the clutch-cable with WD-40 then use a cable-lube. That will, most
likely, fix the 'gorilla-grip' problem. Be sure and check it for fraying/kinks/routing
issues, though. From your description, it might need to be replaced, if so you'll still
want to maintain it with the above procedure to keep it pristine. I'm a slacker,
but I try to do the lube about every 1000 miles, even so.

Here's a picture of a cable-luber, MPro makes some quality tools, but there are
lots of others out there, as well...

Motion Pro - Cable Luber

Good luck, Ern
