I have a 1996 900rr with sticker all over it. I am going to take the stickers off and put new ones on. but the stickers on the tank are under the clear coat. I want another tank so i can either put the new stickers on the new tank, or put the new tank on the bike and repaint the paint the bike.

 

93-95
96-97
98-99

That's what I've been told anyway.
96-99 might all work together though. 93-95 have a single tab on the front and 96-up have a duel tab.

what about off a differnt size bike?

 

I am not really sure but I think a 98-99 tank uses vaccum to release the petcock.
But as the post before, that info looks correct.
