Help! Not firing on No#3 carb issue?
Hi there thanks for the suggestion. I've made better vac hose connections for the cylinder head ports and numbered all hoses and gauges I was going to tabulate all the results but it didn't go to plan.
First I used gauge #4 On cylinder 4 got 12 mmHg or whatever it's measured in gauge #3 on cylinder 1 got 10 mmHg gauge #2 on cylinder 1 read almost 0 couldnt adjusted brass **** just went erratic. Put gauge 1 on 1 gauge was erratic adjusted brass **** got it to settle around 2mmhg.
Put all gauges back, 1 and 3 where erratic and 4 and 2 steady.
I tried each gauge on cylinder 1 they all read 2mmhg after slight adjustment. Put all gauges back and again 1 and 3 erratic.
I do think there is slight calibration errors on the gauges when pulling a harder vac and also carb / engine issues. It runs ok but with a slight miss mid range and idles ok once warm without choke and slight idle adjustment.
Thanks again buddy

Just an update. many thanks for your patience and help. After another strip down, clean and bench synch i managed to get it set up in the end. i was supplied incorrect main jet sizes hence the running lean over 3000 rpm replacing them solved that issue. I used a single gauge method to carry out the final set up and smaller OD vacuum hoses to eliminate any potential leaks and started adjusting the pilots in 1/8ths of a turn each time and vIts now running sweet.
Its been a learning curve and to be fair ive quite enjoyed it but couldnt have done it without the wealth of knowledge shared on here.
Cheers Ian
