Man..... I don’t even know what to say. I just read this (for the first time) from start to finish. I can’t even imagine having to go through that after all the work you put in. I would like to offer a few positive words...

Even when the bike lays on its side, you have the knowledge (and shared with all of us) that you completed IMO the BEST DIY home restore I have EVER seen! I love 900's, I mean i really love them. On my 3rd right now. But you sir take it to another level. The time and dedication to quality you took will never be forgotten by you, the members of this forum, and myself.

On a second note, I would like to use this quote... "It is not the Destination, but the journey that defines you." You sir are a great example of what a TRUE enthusiast is. Taking what you love and doing it to the absolute best of your ability. The scares will heal and the bent fenders will mend. Think now of all the knowledge you have gained and can put towards your next project.

From a fellow 900 lover; I wish you the most speedy recovery, the strength to conquer the coming months, and offer a helping hand if there is anything I can do to help.

And a final word. You sir are what every true motorcycle enthusiast should strive to be. Hats off to you

Bad luck mate. Can't believe the ending - read the thread from beginning to end like a book, a tragic novel almost! If you take nothing else away know that you have inspired people with your fastidious polishing, erm...
