Whats the easiest way going about getting my M1 license, is it ok to ride withought it for a while? My buddy that sold me the bike is having the title transfered but that wont be for about 3 weeks but can i get it registered withought the title? Finally it came withought the passenger foot peg mounts and pegs, where can i buy a set of these? thanks guys

I hope you kicked him square in the *****.
Not worth it in my opinion. Just a battery drain. Others may feel contrary. Lo-Jack is cool though.
Get creative. If you can't think of anything, there is always the swingarm mount like a lot of Harleys do. I'm contemplating that since I have a second radiator in my tail now and I'd like to keep it visible without the plate blocking it.
There are schools that do weekend classes. Look for an MSF class, or just go down to the DMV/MVD/whatever your state calls it and take the riding test. Don't hit any cones.
Why does the title take three weeks? Sounds shady. Story time! If the title takes three weeks, then I hope your money is also taking three weeks. I've always done it same-day at the MVD. Check with your local statutes, but I'm betting you can't register an untitled vehicle.
The mounts are part of the subframe. All you need are the pegs and the bolts. I forgot the size and thread pitch of the bolts, unfortunately, or I'd just tell you. Buy the pegs off ebay, www.ronayers.com, local dealership, motorcycle junk yard, et cetera.
Thanks for the input, will that dmv course be hard to pass on the 900? Im not sure with the exhaust im picking the bike up today ill check it out i know its for a custom shop in sacramento, it goes four then dumps into two pipes inffront of the foot peg, its reeeeeallly freeegin loud i love it, but ill let you know later today.
I wouldn't know about the DMV test, since I got my approval through an MSF class. And I don't know what state you live in, but chances are the test is different from what AZ requires. I have heard that the tests can be difficult on sport bikes because of the wide turning radius they have as a tradeoff for being stable at high speeds.
Have you gotten your permit yet?
Have you gotten your permit yet?
Just picked it up, the exhaust is race exhaust, not street legal im guessing but it sounds so good, will i hav to worry about that for a smog test or anything? I dont have a permit yet i want to get my license the fastest and most painful way if i have to take a class thats fine, i live in NV and am not sure if they offer the MSF course but ill check into it... the title is coming in on tuesday so i can register it and ill be riding!! im pretty excited.
In CT, where I live, the dmv coarse they provide a >200cc bike for the classes. They do not let you use your own bike for the classes. In CT if you get a permit thats the written test and the class is your riding test, so at the end of the class you qualifiy to get the motorcycle endorsment. The class teaches the fundementals of riding and avoiding emergencies. And overall riding and operation of a motorcycle.
Cool im gunno go down tomorrow to get the book to study for the learners permit. I took my bike out on some back roads today what a blast, i cant wait to get all licensed and insured up and actually take it out. Its quit faster then i expected from riding my buddys 2000 r6 and my other friends 95 cbr 1000, i dont know if the bikes fast stock or its all the aftermarket stuff but its more then i'll need for quit a while untill i can get used to it. Im sure ill be on this site quit a bit getting your guy's imput on stuff so i look forward to that.
