Experience with aftermarket fairings ? ('95 crash resurrection)
Newbie (to the forums) here, and I've been out of the CBR game for over a decade, but I'm jumping back in resurrecting my '95 from a long-ago wreck, and I was curious if the many aftermarket fairing kits are garbage or "workable" ? Mine are pretty well mangled up (although I have nearly all the pieces). Alternatively, I considered trying to repair mine with those Temu embedded hot-wire plastic repair kits, but that's a lot of work vs just getting new, if they aren't too horrible. But if the aftermarket ones are more headache than they're worth (like holes not lining up, requiring modifications to fit well anyway, etc), then I might just try the embedded wire fasteners anyway.
Thoughts from those who might have tried the cheap aftermarket fairings before ?
Some other items I need to source are below. If anyone has their own "must check out" recommendations on any of this stuff that might offer newer tech upgrades, please do chime in. I'm just going on my 20yr old tribal knowledge from when I was riding this baby on the daily.

-Taillight
-Front rotors (not looking forward to these, as IIRC, it required some machining to get everything to mate up for the F3 17" wheel conversion I have on it, but I can't remember now :-p
Unless one of the pre-painted kits I find really hits the spot, I'll likely repaint the same scheme had done before, as I think it looked really good with the yellow center/polished lip wheel setup, and kinda keeps that somewhat retro look:
I wrecked once before in '99 so did it up like above when I immediately rebuilt it (D&D slip-on, Dynojet stg1, 525 chain conversion, 17" F3 front wheel, adjustable steering damper, pedal relocators, prob more I can't remember)
Thanks, and I'm looking forward to being back on 2 wheels (and back in the community) !

[ps- I tried searching the forums for other's experiences with fairings but didn't find anything in the last 3-4yrs of posts I read through, so figured I'd post a new thread. If I missed some "Aftermarket Fairing Megathread" please point me to it !]
