Default Exhaust gaskets - silly question

So as part of refurbing the exhaust on a '92 SC28 I took the headers off the head and the muffler off the pipes.

I was expecting to find the four "exhaust pipe gaskets" and the "muffler gasket" but I didn't find any, on the head, the pipes or the muffler...

Unless I am missing something, like they are pressed in, or have disintegrated or something else, can anyone tell me from these pics whether they were missing in the first place? I've ridden the bike once but there was no hint of leaking exhaust gases.

Also, a few of the studs came out with the nuts - I can't find the torque specs of what the studs should be turned into the head (as opposed to the torque spec of the nut on the stud) - any ideas?

They do appear to be missing. The best thing to do is take a pic or other sharp pointy object and see if they are flattened so much that they are hard to see. But they should set in the exhaust port on the engine side.

Thanks Hamlin

Stupid question alert over - sprayed a bit of WD and that revealed the copper and I managed to gently prise one out. Just wasn't expecting them to be so squished in!

My other (perhaps stupid) question about stud torque specs remains though - any help appreciated. Thanks

They do get squished that's for sure.
I don't know for your specific model, but for the f3, it's 27lbs.
