I am currently trying to highly modify my 99 cbr 900rr. Does anybody know where I can "one stop" shop? I am having difficulty in finding the exact parts I want. Where should I start first? the final transmission, carb work, cams, gear box or what? Also I have been talking to a local bike shop owner and he said flatslide carbs are the best way to go. Is this true or is he trying to take my money?

 

Flatsides are good......IFthe rest of your engine is built for it......Erion has cams..........Yosh has cams.........try Muzzy's web site. I think he had a big bore kit for it and some other things.......what are you trying to accomplish with this build? I can tell you it will be MUCH cheaper to buy a new bike than to make yours try and run with a new one. I know.......I tried and gave up.......I bought a new one. LOL

I want a track bike. I am buying a new one for the street, but still want a beefed up bike strictly for the track. I'm planning on 5 grand or so on engine mods. I've looked at Erion and they have ported heads and also racing cams. just curious where to start first?
