Mine is 1997 cbr900rr, more than 80,000km. At higher than 30 degree(ambient temp) and high engine temperature with cooling fan blown, I stop engine for parking and start it again but starter motor doesn't turn. After the engine temperature cooldown, the motor can start again, which means that, if engine temperature is normal the re-start is ok, but if engine temperature comes higher the start motor doesn't work. Will appreciate any advice. One more question: Also at high engine temperature, I accelerate my Blade, but exhaust sound a bit changes. That is because of high engine temperature or other root-cause something like oil performance lowered due to higher temp? In that case, shall I use higher oil like 10W60?
As far as the starter goes it will more than likely need to be replaced or repaired. I did some digging and from what I was able to find is it sounds like the windings in the starter motor have swollen (or swell under higher temps) causing your issue.
not sure what to make of your question yet but maybe others here an answer or suggestion.
