CBR in need of resurrection
whatever lets you sleep at night, for me , getting caught with a hot bike or stolen parts , would mean jail time , court cost, lawyer fees, time away from family, lost wages at work, add that up and i gaurantee will be more than $10,000. Where i come from , if your dealin with stolen parts it makes you a thief, and then when something comes up missing, they will be lookin for street glow. NOT worth it. BTW dont know if bike is stolen, just saying.
Wow! You guys took this to a whole other level!! First off, I did not BUY anything. Second, it is not stolen; more like abandoned from the original owner.
The two friends had a falling out and the bike hung out in the backyard for more than 10 years. Speculate all you want, if someone gives a 16 year old bike away, I will accept it. I felt like instead of scraping it, buy another frame, and fix it up slowly as a project.
Now, instead of accusing me of buying a HOT bike, I am looking for a rebuild kit for the calipers, new rotors and a simple how-to on rebuilding the front forks.
Oh, and as far as the pic goes, it is from another member. I just used it as reference.
-Thanks

Not tryin to pisson ya bro. Ive seen people get into alot of trouble over missing vin stickers. i got screwed over a boat the same way. Either way, goodluck with your bike and i would look up Beaverdam honda for your parts, they are good priced and have a badass part finder fish.Peace bro
That sight is awesome. Thanks,
Where can I find some aftermarket parts like braided brake lines?
http://www.russellperformance.com/index_moto.shtml This should link you to a dealer that sells the brake lines your lookin for.
I could be wrong but if the bike was given to you, you should be able to apply for a lost title for the bike, just get the person that gave it to you to write out a bill of sale for $1.00 then go to your local probate or tag and title office and ask about applying for a lost title and they should be able to help you. I know a few people around my way that have done that with success... good Luck!!
