Carbs not getting fuel
I AM HAVING A PROBLEM WITH MY CARBS. WHEN I TRY TO CRANK THE BIKE IT TURNS OVER FOREVER BUT DOESN'T CRANK. FUEL ISN'T GETTING INTO CARBS, BECAUSE THEY ARE DRY. I POURED SOME GAS INTO THE CARBS AND CRANKED IT AND IT RAN FOR A QUICK SEC AND CUT BACK OFF, SO I KNOW IT'S GOTTA BE THE FUEL. DOES ANYBODY KNOW ANYTHING THAT COULD HELP. I AM DYING TO HIT THE ROAD. I HAD IT RUNNING WHILE I WAS WORKING ON IT. I PUT A NEW GAS TANK ON AND IT RAN FINE, I RAN OUT OF GAS WHILE I WAS WORKING ON IT AND EVER SINCE THEN, IT WON'T START ANYMORE. SOMEBODY HELPPP PLEASEEEE

RE: Carbs not getting fuel
You may want to pull the gas line off the petcock and see if there is fuel flowing through the line. I pulled the tank off last week to change the airfilter and after I put everything back together it would not start. I pulled the fuel line off and there was no gas in the line. I removed the petcock and the diaphragm but could not see anything wrong. When I reassembled the diaphragm it would no longer seal against the petcock. I purchased a new diaphragm assembly but it still leaked. I ended up using some Permatex to seal everything back up. I think the problem is I tightened the four screws holding the diaphragm too tight. Anyway, there is a vacuum line that runs from the motor to the diaphragm assembly. You may try to remove the line from the motor and suck on the line to allow the diaphragm to retract and the fuel to flow through.
