Default Car & Driver Article

Hi All:

I introduced myself a month or so ago and told you guys about the car I built using the 98 CBR900RR motor. Well it finally printed--page 115 or so in the August issue.

I look forward to reading your reviews.

--Chris

PS I realize this has little to do with bikes, so let me know if this becomes a hassle.

Hi:

0-60 is about 4.1 seconds. Much slower than a bike, I know. For car specs, go to my website http://www.fiaccone.com. I documented the entire build process.

Wow that's a sick car. I only wish I had the drive to take on a project like that.[sm=hail.gif]

I checked out the magazine while I was in Borders tonight. 974lbs was it?! That's insane for a car. That really is a shifter cart. And you've got plenty of room to do a turbo setup in there, complete with intercooler. Make 180 to 220 horsepower and that car would be SCREAMING. I'd imagine it wouldn't have traction problems either, since that's not much power and your car is so light. Maybe a little too light for traction, but that could be worked on. If you want to turbo your car, I will give you all the help you need. Even if you had an IQ of 74, I'd sit on my computer and continue to explain things step by step over and over ad nauseum.

I want to build one now. Very badly. I've always wanted to build a Factory Five roadster, and some times that alternates to a GT40 (CAV being my favorite). But now the Seven appeals to me more than ever.

Very nice.
