Default Bouncy OEM Turn Signals

Has anyone ever come up with a solution for this besides going to aftermarket? My bike is all original and I would like to keep it that way, but maybe there is a way to modify the OEM lights to keep them from bouncing around so much. Any ideas?

When I had my OEM turn signals in (which i think look horrible and there are aftermarkets that work just as good) I added a small plate of sheet metal to the back so it had more room to grab onto. Pretty much solved the issues till i got aftermarket ones.

I agree that they are big and bulky (they are from the 80's afterall) but I don't want aftermarket ones on my bike. It just wouldn't go with everything else being original. I like the metal plate idea. Thanks!
