oohh!! i get ya,
i did read somewhere on the forum that someone said that a cbr 1100xx motor was fit to an earlier 900 frame. they said that the motor was 2 inches wider so the frame had to be split and custom spacers welded in to accomodate the size difference. just food for thought.
by the way in your pictures is the red,white & blue bike yours? it looks very clean, i have the same bike. not too many clean ones out there. well i for one can't wait to see what you end up with. oh yea, jay lenno has a jet powered bike, powered by a helicopter engine totally whicked. if you happen to have any of those engines laying around or maybe you could do that for your 60th b-day. ha,ha,

Yes that bike is clean! al OG and are you interested in the plastics on it?

I wonder how much a blackbird motor is....

If you do decide to turbo it, just setup it up like you would any boosted carb. vehicle, either replace your carbs with blow through setup ones or modify yours to accomidate or setup a draw through system which if you are going to make a new manifold anyway then that would probably be the easy way to go
