About handling and fork adjustments
How do the adjusters on top of the forks on my 96 work?
I see what appears to be two seperate adjusters, one a flatbladed screwdriver fits, and the other a wrench. The markings are gone, so I can't tell what they do.
What are their "settings", and how will it affect handling?
Is there somewhere that a pdf of the owner's manual is available to look at?

The flat blade screw driver is rebound damping...........the part that requires a wrench directly attached to that is the pre load.....on the bottom of the fork there should be a flat blade adjustment for compression damping......yes, they all affect your ride........preload being the easiest to notice.
There are several articles on this, but it is a very complicated process and unless at the track, quite hard to get it set right as you cant push it hard enough. Set static sag (using the front and rear pre load adjustments) first and foremost.
I'll try and find an article on the basics.

Read through that......it'll get you pointed in the right direction.
