My bike stopped pumping oil yesterday, it just sits in the bottom as the motor taps. Is there anything i should look for before simply replacing the oil pump? And where could i find an oil pump for a decent price?

Also i started taking it all apart today and wouldnt you know as im taking out my clutch disks two of them are broken in multiple peices. So now it looks like im doing a clutch too, can i get away with just replacing the main fibre disks and keeping the metal plates?

**its idiotic, but when my bike started tapping i was close to home so not realizing the motor was running dry i ran it for a few miles back to my house. Do you think my motor is screwed/get rid of her once shes back together or should it still last for a while?

 

look behind the clutch basket, there is a small chain that drives the oil pump. See oif it is broke. Running with no oil press. is death to a motor, seen 900rr that spun rod bearings because of doing wheelies which starves the engine of oil.
