Default '98 900RR - Tail swap too a '07 600RR

Hi ladies and gents, I'm about to undergo the process of changing my sub frame / seat unit on my '98 CBR900RR to the unit from a '07 CBR600RR. Mainly because I've not seen this done yet and I always like a challenge but because I really like the sleekness of the 600RR. Just wanting to know, from people who have changed tail units before, what to look out for? Any show stoppers they came across?
I've opted for another SC33 sub frame to 'cut & shunt' (to put it crudely), to enable me to keep the original mounting points to the chassis frame and OEM shock. Does anyone see any 'beginner failings' with this approach? TiA!

You'll do fine, I've seen a 900 with a 600rr tail. It looks really damn good. You'll love it. Just make sure you have everything when you mock the mount on the frame. You'll want to see how the battery tray and seat lines up.

Also, you'll have to fab a rear mount for the tank.

Cheers for that bud, didn't even think of the tank mount! 600 sub frame should arrive on Monday so will be looking into next week 😁
