Just picked her up 2 weeks ago, i was wondering why mine goes to 12000 rpm and my buddies doesnt same year?? Also having a few probs?? It started blowing fuses in starter solenoid box and about 4 days later stopped charging battery? Im taking it that whatever blowing fuses got my stator too?? any help appreciated.

What do you mean by "goes to 12000" ?

Redline on that bike should be 10.5

Fuses could be a number of things but sound like maybe the R/R is faulty.

 

If you keep blowing fuses it could be anywhere within the wiring. You could have a pinched wire or bad ground, etc. Did you take any plastics off recently or do you see any wires that are pinched against the frame. Test the charging system, Does the battery read 12v or better when the bike is running. Use an ohms tester and check voltage to the battery and the manual should give you the ohms that your r/r should read. Check all the ground wires, etc.
