Default 95' vs '96 900rr tech ? on exhuast

i've got a 95' 900rr with a stock exhaust. I want an aftermarket pipe but I find little to fit the 95' year but quite a few for the 96'-99' year. In my search I found full systems to fit yrs 93'-99' but bolt-on's for 93'-95' and 96'-99'. I looked up the parts diagram for both 95' and 96' and they appear the same. My question is if a full system will fit 93'-99' why won't the 96' bolt on fit the 95'??? Any and all comments would be appreciated, thanx

Default update: 95' vs 96' 900rr tech ? on exhaust

I decided to buy a pipe and just modify where needed to make it fit and function. I bought a Yoshimura rs3 bolt on pipe for 96'-99'. I'm happy to say no modification was necessary. The 95' model's bolt up pattern was not changed on the 96' model.

The bolt pattern is the same, from the pics i've seen only the clocking of the holes is different

You are correct the pipe does point about 3 to 5 degrees to the right(away from the bike) but it doesn't effect the mounting bracket and still looks pretty good.
