Question 93 cbr900rr

I have spoken with my stepbrother today and he told me that he has a 1993 cbr900rr. He told me the bike has some problems though that I would have to fix to get it inspected to ride. I think the headlight isn't working, carb needs to be cleaned, some of the lights in the dash aren't lighting up, it needs a new rear tire to pass inspection, and the tachometer doesn't work. He told me it has a full two brothers exhaust installed and he has some other sort of aftermarket air intake for it thats not installed. The bike has around 30k miles on it. My question is, is this bike worth investing the money to fix it in it? I will probably have to buy the bike from him too so is what do you guys think a reasonable price would be after I fix all that stuff? Any input on this? Thanks

depends on how much he is selling it to you for, carb can be cleaned yourself if youre handy with stuff like that...there are multile write-ups on the forums on how to clean and sync carbs, lights on the cluster is no biggie stuff like that goes out because of the age of the bike, tire is gonna run you you about $100-150, headlight you probably just need new ones

Well the price that he sells the bike to me isn't of too much concern. When things are all said and done he told me he was looking to get around $2500 for it. So I will probably minus every expense I paid to fix it. I think thats pretty fair. I plan on fixing everything too. I might just take it to a shop and tell them to fix it up for me.
