Default '93 900RR - Barn Find

While searching for parts for another project, I was blown away to find out that an old friend still had his '93 CBR 900RR, and it has literally been in a barn since 1998. A deal was worked out, shipping arranged, and the bike is now in the garage for inspection. A special shout out to Motoshippers for delivering the bike in as close to the condition as it was found.

Nice find. Looks like she went down on the left and was just parked afterwards. Interesting, when my wife got me to get back into motorcycles in 2005, my first purchase was a 1995 CBR1000F from Minneapolis MN. Was a great ride back to S. FL, about 1700 miles. Fond memories.

It would have been pretty special to go to MN, fix it, and ride it back to FL but it just wasn't in the cards. I would have been able to see family and friends, and then ride home on a bike that I was able to take for a spin during the summer of '94 or '95. This is the first 900RR that I rode, never crossed my mind back then that I might own it one day.

Nice! Will never understand people who just leave a bike to sit like that. Like, if you are THAT disinterested, let someone else have it...

I think there were plans to fix it, sometimes life gets in the way. If he wouldn't have kept it, I'd have not had the chance to get it.

I get it and that is true. Just one of my early morning "cranky old man" rants...

First wash completed, did a pre-rinse/soak, pressure wash, soap, pressure wash, detergent/bug&tar remover and a final pressure wash. I'm happy with the initial results.

Contemplating whether or not I have the patience (or the ability, mostly this) to put together a collection of videos on this and post to YouTube...
