Hello-

I have been scouring the web looking for the trans ratios for my 1995 900rr. Does anyone have those specs they could post? Looking for the ratios of each gear plus the primary ratio so I can calculate some speeds in various gears.

According to the Clymer service manual:


Primary reduction ratio: 1.520 (76/50)

Final reduction ratio:
US and Canada: 2.687 (43/16)
UK model: 2.625 (42/16)


Gear ratios 1993-1995

First 2.769 (36/13)
Second 2.000 (32/16)
Third 1.578 (30/19)
Fourth 1.400 (28/20)
Fifth 1.250 (25/50)
Sixth 1.174 (27/23)

 

you want the speeds in each gear?

1st = fastish
2nd = fast
3rd = faster
4th = there goes my licence
5th = **** THATS QUICK!
6th = how the needle get that far round?
