Default 900RR restoration

Am restoring an early 900RR (2/92 build date). The thoughtless, neglectful original owner (me) let it sit covered for years in the garage while he went out to play on his '04 R1 and later a '15 R1. Fortunately, the RR was patient and waited for me to get old and start paying attention to it again. So i've taken it apart for cleaning, fork/shock and carb rebuild, and the usual add'l replacements. An unfortunate encounter with a pickup truck years ago resulted in replaced plastics, now painted Honda red. Otherwise pretty much original. Hope to have it ready for track days and local twisties next season. The pic is pre-disassembly.
Question: What is recommended for carb rebuild kits? The Honda OEM carb kit is $41/carb or $160. The Keyster kits listed on ebay are either $50 (K-1486) or $80 (K-1481) for all 4 and are made in Japan. Then there are the Chinese kits which i'm pretty hesitant to use but may be OK???
Recommendations greatly appreciated - thanks!

Waiting for me to get to work...

I'd recommend going this route. More cost effective and a better than OEM product.

Can take 14 to 28 days to get from Thailand. I've usually received them in about 2 weeks.

Taking stuff apart is always fun. Knowing when to stop can be a challenge, but lots of parts to clean, rebuild, repaint or replace. Sent the carbs, forks and shock out for rebuild. Did the calipers and master cylinders using kits from Brakemasters in AZ. Highly recommend them - great customer service. Now starting to reassemble - hope to not have a bunch of parts left over...

Its a 93 RR. Really.

Were the carbs done locally or sent off someplace?

I had them done at a shop nearby in Santa Clara CA (RMC Moto). They also did my forks and shock. Am happy with the work.

Chugging along with reassembly. so far so good, but haven't fired it up - thought i'd then want to ride it but figured i oughta have brakes first. just getting conservative in my old age i suppose. fun project.!
