900RR with nos
So i might be buying a 98 900RR and its from the dealership. I went their to look at a busa and wanted a 900RR or 929 and had a 900RR. Well While looking at the bike with the dealer he mentioned about the nos kinda liked the idea about the nos after i left had some questions about it and would like to get other info. ( The Truth )
I don't know anything about nos so thats why im asking. Bike was clean to what i could see and rode fine But with nos does it not wear out the engine fast? If to say i was to get this bike what gear and what rpm should i use this and would it be safe? Any info on this would be nice before i make this purchuse. THX.
Picture of bike bottle is under seat and cant see it on this side.

O i know it isfaster i have ridden them before. Thats why i was kinda wondering for if its their i would want to use it but if i know about it i might just pull it as soon as i get it.
haha alright bro glad to see were commin up together ughh its like the thing to do have a f3 then get a 900RR ! the morning i got my bike i was at a stop light a f3 pulle dup next to me with like 50 yr old guy riding it. i told him nice bike and i just sold that and got this.. then he says yea he is doing the same thing ! he is waiting for the kid to get off work so he can go buy it ! im like whoah ! haha
Yea dude you get the best then it gets left behind. But ya know what they say great minds think a like. But bad news in going with a 929 I think its going to be a better deal but i will find out tomorrow on which one it will be for sure.
Get the 929. 5 G is a bit steep for that bike. You didn't mention year I believe, but with the miles on it it should be around a 94 (because of location) which I know it isn't, I believe this is a newer bike possibly 97 or better?
With NOS already onboard, it's been used and yes, it burns out your rings faster and puts a whole lot more wear and tear on the motor. Besides the speed of this bike to begin with, you don't need NOS. And WHEN to pull the trigger all depends on WHERE you are racing it. In the 1/4 mile (track) I believe you'de pull near the middle RPM range of second or just into 3rd gear (and by then you've only got so much track left to decelerate. And considering this bike doesn't have an extended swing arm, tracks being stickier then the road, chances are you'de land on your head anyway. Skip it. Sounds fun, would be fun to mess with, but in the end... it's just a new shinny thing that would wear off fairly quick.

I've set up N.O.S. systems on race cars all the time. We follow a rule of thumb on the timing and make sure the engine does not lean out. As long as those two factors are ok the engines live long. As an example we retard 2 degrees for every 100 horses(38-2). On this bikes I've set up 25 horses on 600's by using two micro-switches: one on the throtle and one on the clutch.to deactivate the system.when shifting and releasing the throtle. But this guys are all right: the 900 doesn't need N.O.S. Johnny
Yea it a 98. Well Those answers focused me on which one i want now i just wanted to know what more experience riders think and yall comfirmed what i was thinking and thanks for the help.
