I know this one has ended, but I saw this one the other day and was amazed at the condition and mileage on this bike.

Amazing!

I actually saved the pics to my account, because near stock 900rrs like these are harder and harder to find.

At least I can use the pics as reference for the future.

quil900, I agree with you completely that it was probably wrecked. For the '93 on eBay, he was asking $5000 for it and that is what he got. Seemslike a good dealfor one in that condition.
Yup, $5,000 is a great price fora bike in that condition, what a timeless classic.

Spirit, we were talking about the white '93 that sold recently on ebay. Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&viewitem=

Unbelieveable condition with very low miles.

The bike looks OK but most probably he don't know what he is talking about. The rear tire will go off anytime and not like he claimed. I just could not be sure if the rear is a 98/99 model and if he really fashion conscious he would have snapped the 96/97 front for the more aerodynamic better looking 98/99.

People with less experience will get cheated of course!

Sorry I couldn't reply earlier, there was something wrong with my computer.

But yes, like Scutfargas said it's the red/white/blue one!

He was truly yanked on it...he still has no idea...feel bad for the guy...

And that was my thinking is if he upgraded the rear because it looks better why not the new front end (although the 95/97 looks good imo.) The biggest thing to me was the swap of the lower fairing for the 93/95 fairing??? You'd never swap a part out for an older one if your trying to get it better aesthetically! I can almost guarantee the speedo was swapped.

I got taken for a ride by a guy on another island. It was my fault for being too trusting.

I traded my excellent condition VFR750 for a beat up, broken 600f2, sight unseen.

Hope whoever considers buying that weird looking 900rr on ebay, checks our site first and reads this thread first.

Sorry to hear about that. Lesson learned and hopefully you can help others not make the mistake. Some dont learn without it though!
