Default #3 Cylinder Running Rich!!

So I was servicing the bike over the winter and when I took off the headers I noticed #3 was running rich. (see photo) So I did a little research and found out that the carbs might be out of sync. Just some background on the bike. It has a vance & hines ss2r full exhaust on it and I'm pretty sure its been jetted. Also a K&N air filter.

Just wanted to get some input from the forum and see if anyone else has had this occur and what steps were taken to remedy the problem. The bike seems to run fine otherwise. And if I hadn't taken off the header I probably wouldn't have known.

The synchronization could be a reason if the #3 carb is getting too much fuel cause not enough air in the mixture. So try syncing them and see how far off they are out of sync. Is the idle rough? Usually the idling is all messed up when the carbs are out of sync.

Cool

yeah I agree and check you fuel/mix screw you need to check what is required from the jet kit you have in, it too fix them across the board especially if it's jetted
