Default 1999 yellow parts.

I just bought a yellow '99 that I plan to restore. I am looking for the following parts. Upper, tank, right tail, fender, right lower. I'm looking for parts in near mint condition. (no rash, repairs or repainted pieces) I'm willing to pay a fair price, just looking to save a lttle money over buying new. I'd also like to find an uncut rear fender/battery tray and stock license plate bracket... I know that's unlikely but I thought I'd throw it out there in case anyone has one lying around. Let me know what you have and how much you need for it.
Thanks

Well since the bike is a 99 i'd just buy used plastics, have them painted by a bodyshop. No future owner of a 99 is gonna know or care it was repainted. Just my honest opinion

The easiest, cheapest way to do it, is to prowl ebay. Learn how to search for what you want--then wait like a sniper. I promise once you start picking up really decent plastic for $50 here, $70 there--even Andrew Jackson can play this game--you'll be glad you didn't try to paint a bunch of crap that doesn't fit.

I see a lot of 98-99 parts, I know you could do it. More patience than money, I always say...

No paint job is ever as good as the factory paint. I'm not really concernedwith resale as I probably wont eversell it or even ride it much for that matter. I know I'm going to wrap more up into the bike than it's worth but I'm doing it for myself, and not for an investment. I've had tons of 900rr's in the past and just want to restore a few of my favorites to as close to showroom condition as I can get them. This will be the third in my collection. I'm looking most forward to this particular project because it's the only U.S. paint scheme Inever owned back in the day.

That's what I've been doing... I gave up hope of finding good used parts. The few that I did manage to find, the people wanted 70% of retail... For the extra 30%, I'd rather have new..... I get a pretty good discount on oem parts, so, I'm really not paying much more than what people want for used....
