1993 CBR900RR hot at idle and weak throttle.
I believe these are two different problems but I accidentally hooked the battery up backwards, shorting the system and blowing the fuse. Ever since, it has issues with throttle. It starts/idles fine but when you try to crank it, it'll die. If I slowly turn throttle, it'll JUMP to 5 or 6 and I can hold it there. Past that, throttles fine. Also, when the engine warms up this seems to improve but not disappear. When I stop for a light, the fan wont come on and the bike overheats. I was thinking for the power, the spark plugs could be fouled or there could be an earthed wire in the harness robbing my system of voltage. For overheating at idle, the thermostat could be stuck or the sensor shorted or fuse blown. Whaddaya think? Thanks people. You're beautiful, really.
very similar problems with 900rr. im gettin it on the dyno after checking o rings, gaskets, and carbs. im pretty sure it has to do with the air/fuel ratio.
mine feels like its holding back when u get on it in low rpm, its good for a couple thousand more rpms but then starts feeling a little shaky, like it has more power to put down its just not releasing it (if that makes any sense)
LMK what u find out... Good luck
