17" rim on my 900RR?
Hi all! I just purchased a 96' 900RR , this will be the 4th I've ever owned. 2 of the 4 had 16" rims & 1 had a 17" rim. I personally like the ride alot better with the 17's. This new bike I have has a 16". I know a 17" rim will fit , I just dont know what yr of a CBR 600 rim I need to put on my bike? Not sure if they differ in size from yr to yr? So is there anyone out there that has a 96" CBR 900 , that has put on a 17" rim , if so what yr did you get the rim from ( CBR 600 )? Also anyone know where I can find one? I cant find any on Ebay. Thanks in advance to all that reply!
I assume all knows this is for the front rim.

+2 on what Woody said. I have a F3 wheel on the front of my 97 (same as your 96).
From what I read, the 95 is more involved. I think the F3 wheel bolts up like the 96 & 97 model, but you lose the speedometer drive. The 96/97 speedometer is electronic and sensed from the output shaft that the front sprocket mounts to.

+1 to puzzles response for the 95. If you make new shims to use the f3 rim and lose your spedo for good.... or switch the whole wireing harness and gauge cluster to an 96/97 <~~ too much problems!!
