just forget about this idea. This is an impossible question because there are no off the shelf parts to perform a swap like this. Not trying to be mr. negativity but this will give you nothing but headaches and night sweats. The 900 motor is great just the way it is, its power to weight ratio is exceptional and you should take the money you make from selling the 1000f mill and dump that into upgrades. Only way to pull this swap off is with a tig welder, lathe, and a truck load of ingenuity, time and money. sorry to crush your dreams

that wasn't harsh dude. That was tough love. Better to hear the cold truth than have me BS you into thinking a swap like that is fun and easy. I have a question for you. Why do you need an oversize bearing? If you spun the bearing then you need to replace the rod and crank, if the crank surface can't be cleaned up with machining. I would still sell the 1000 motor and use the dough to cover the above repairs. When you pull the head have it ported, and maybe even bore the block or add a stroker crank. Its pricey, but your already into it, and any engine you buy will most likely not have less than 10K on it, unless your really lucky. Ebay usually has engines for the 9 in the 800-1000$ range. All depends on how much money you got, and how much you love your bike. Looks like this is one of three great bikes that you own, I would weigh the end result of all the work involved in resuscitating the 900.

+1000 to 900FighterRR

He wasn't tryin to be harsh, just trying to save yourself from the headache you were going to attempt. It seems like it shouldn't be hard because they are both cbr's but there is a LOT of fabricating, time, money and patience involved in a custom project like that
