Default Damaged steering lock and immobiliser

2016 CBR 650f attempted theft

Attempted theft of my friends bike, immobiliser wires cut, steering lock broken and some damage to the metal underneath. Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction for fixing this? Still have the keys so in theory could I rewire the cut cables and then the bike will at least start or would it need coded by Honda? And how would I go about replacing the steering lock and damage underneath, is this a replaceable part or a section of the frame? Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum Matt even though it is through the scum bags attempt to steal the bike

At the very least reconnecting the wires should be enough to make the bike usable. It should not need re-coding as it still has the matching ECU and keys.

Have a look here to see about replaceable parts: I suspect most of the damage is related to the steering lock assembly.

Yep, that is the positive and fingers crossed that they haven't done any more damage.
Lets see some pics of your CBR.

Few subtle mods added since I picked it up but no recent photos haven’t quite had the weather yet

Very nice, do like the 'stealth' look.
