Default wont start?? help...

i got a 06 CBR 600 RR. when i turn the key to the on position, the display does not come up. when i try to start it, i hear clicking under the seat. battery tested good. replaced the magnetic switch assembly next to the battery cause thats where the clicking is coming from (80 bucks). turned key to on position, and got the display the first time. but after that, no display. and still clicks when i try and start it.. please HELP! i'm supposed to take it to the dealer on the 19th, but i really would rather save the money and fix it myself... thanks.

Most batteries are over 12.6+v if they are good. 12v is fine too.
I would check the connections from instrument panel to harness and harness to the ECM.
It dont think its the fuse. Possible that it can be a relay, but for some reason I think it might be a wiring issue. It a very common problem on bikes < its not limited just to honda.

I just had this happen to me becuase I worked on my turn signals one day and ran the battery down. Same clicking noise. I hate to keep repeating this and I know you said you bought a new battery, but did you let the battery charge up slowly over night? Put it on a slow charge for several hours and see what happens. I was getting pissed and thought I killed the battery and gave up. I left on charge over night and started looking to order a battery. Came back the next day, took the charger off and it started like new... Saved me $$$ The cheapest battery I found was $60 for off brand shipped, locals wanted up to $189!!

And when we say charge it slowly... we mean use a 1 or 1.5 amp charge setting.
