Default whatcha guys think?

Sorry to bore you guys with another "how much do you think this bike is worth" thread . . but I would like your opinion . .

I'm probably going to go look at this bike over my Spring Break next week, but wanted to see what you guys thought about it first. It's a 2004 with 9400 miles. It's been down once (kickstand stuck in blacktop) but wasn't too bad - here's a link with pics http://photobucket.com/albums/a4/nutz_x/ The list of mods is as follows:

Corbin leather seat, carbon fiber look $225
rear seat cover, carbon fiber look $30
black billet clutch cover $90
15t front sprocket $45
D&D exhaust $650
Power commander $275
Custom mapped $200
Flush mount signals and
fender eliminator $150
GPR Steering damper $350
Vortex Racing Rear sets $400
Puig Dark smoke racing screen $90
Pilot Power Tires (1000 miles) $225
Speedo Healer $80
Swingarm sliders $20

With that said, he's asking $6200 obo and offered to take some mods off to get the price down if I wanted. Is that a fair price? Anything on there that isn't really necessary or that good? I was also gonna ask you what racing rear sets were . . is that where you shift down instead of up?

Thanks in advance for all the info!

Kyle

From the looks of the pics the bike looks like it didnt go down too hard. These numbers add up to about 2800 bucks. Bein a 94 with that many miles its not a bad bike. Its easy to put 6000 on in a summer. As long as it got taken care of reg main. and stuff id be willing to buy it or see if he would go a little lower. As for takin some of the mods off id leave them on there. Although i have an 06 and i dont see the need on that bike to have a steering dampner on there. The rest of the mods id keep. Not sure what the 15 t sprocket does to gas mileage since these bike only average about 30's and 40's on the highway. My advice go look at it person see if you can get him lower if not ask about y he installed the dampner. Let us know how ya came out.

Id say its loaded with extras and you really wont have to pay the money later for any mods.I got my 03 with 5k on it for 4,000 so id say and 04 with all that gear is worth 6200.Id give him 6000 cash..see what he says.

Sounds like someone went road racing not really a bad thing but!!!!!! how well was this race bike taken care of. I'd tell him $5k. Why did he replace the Clutch cover and not the stator cover if "fell over" from the side stand melting in the pavement? Rearsets are your pegs. Usally racers use them to change riding postion higher pegs mean lower lean angle.

It looks to me like it did at least a little sliding, especially looking at that tail section. I think it's a little more damage than falling over in a parking lot. But even still, it looks to be in good shape. That's a ton of mods too by the way.

Don't know what your zip code is, but from my zip code the NADA book value on this bike is about $6400 w/o including all the mods. Mods don't typically do much to help the selling price, but they are still pretty valuable as the buyer. Could be a good deal.
