Molybdenum and it destroys the clutch, not the whole engine

that's really bad for your bike..... because the oil lubricates the clutch too.. that's why there is car oil, motorcycle oil...

I'm on the Amsoil bandwagon. I saw several oil analysis reports somewhere on 600rr.net and Amsoil had a measurable advantage over competitors. What do I mean by measurable? Not sure. Chemical breakdown was one. More than anything, I took the analyses to mean that Amsoil lasts longer than other oils. So, if you must change your oil every 2000 miles, using Amsoil would be a complete waste of money.

That was Amsoil doing the test as well though.

Just like on TV that the 8 out of 10 guys choose Gillette Fusion Proglide over the Mach 3.
They don't tell you though one has 5 blades and one has 3 blades.

I would love to see one done by a 3rd party and see if Amsoil comes out on top.

I understand why you would make that assumption, but this was not the case. I searched high and low for the thread, but I couldn't find it. Without proof I am.

The closest I've seen to a factual review is this:

The Rotella works good... I like Mobil 1 myself, but either will work. I've run Mobil 1 full syn in my bike since it had 5000 miles, and it's at 193,000 now and the inside is spotless with virtually zero wear. I always get the 5qt jug at wally world for $22. Either one will work fine though, just keep it changed regularly and you'll be good to go for a long long time!

That's because his F4i has gone past 200k (and we saw pics of the inside of his engine). Honestly though, few people here push the engines hard enough for the oil to make a significant difference.

And those that do, don't need to debate the oil they use. They're gonna stick with their personal preference
