IMO, any quality motorcycle oil will be fine. No need to spend for the uber-expensive synthetics. You won't be racing it. More importantly, you should change at proper intervals (or moreso w/a higher mileage engine). Use what your manual recommends for your particular application & you should be good to go.

Rotella T 15/40 , 2.5 Gals for 28 bucks at Wally World

Cost effective option , good oil that a lot of us use in older bikes

The Rotella works good... I like Mobil 1 myself, but either will work. I've run Mobil 1 full syn in my bike since it had 5000 miles, and it's at 193,000 now and the inside is spotless with virtually zero wear. I always get the 5qt jug at wally world for $22. Either one will work fine though, just keep it changed regularly and you'll be good to go for a long long time!

the cheapest **** you can find. I find that when I use synthetic on higher mileage vehicles, they like to leak it out. . .

I experienced that with my Jeep but never with my bike
