Lol yeah.. vtech isn't that amazing really.. I'm sure plenty of bikes can smoke civics and none of em got vtech plus my bmw has vvt and it's made right so that the car actually has power before the vvt takes action.. not l i k e a honda.. civics just suck and then vtech kicks in and they arent AS bad. My car makes power before vvt and after it just makes more power and all on a smooth powerband. Whatever vtech on a bike would suck cause you'd hit the magical number on your tach and then the thing would jerk the crap outta ya.. say, in the middle of a curve? VVT done by some other company might do better than vtech but honda doesn't really know how to handle their powerband.
