Default Washing ...

Any thoughts on best washing detergents or polishes for keeping the bike clean ... I usually use a high quality car wash like (Mothers, Meguires or California Gold) then dry with a good chamois ...

any car wash will work fine..but a little tip, go to walmart and buy a $30 leaf blower, to dry it off with, and NO water spots.

.......or use your shop-vac (that has the detachable blower.)

I just found the gift from God that is Honda Polish. Got a large can of it free with the bike and never used it until a couple days ago. Makes life SO much easier.......and on-the-fly detailing a snap!

Be sure after the wash to blow dry it. I use a leave blower or sometimes drive it up the street a fast to get some of the hidden water out.

Sorry to say that you've discovered the wonders of Honda Polish a little too late. The product has been discontinued due to environmental issues. However, I do agree with you - it's the best cleaner/polish you can get for a bike.
